The renovation of a 1960's city apartment draws on inner city art influences and wins a RESENE COLOUR AWARD. The clients wanted a ground concrete floor but the poor quality of the aggregate saw the use of a clever floor mural flowing through from the kitchen into the living room. A simple white kitchen with a natural granite benchtop features an asymmetrically tiled splashback and blackboard. Retro furniture is combined with new sleek charcoal storage cabinetry, continuing the horizontal lines of the kitchen.
